Southwood Community Association

The Southwood Community Association was established as a not-for-profit organization on October 17th, 1962. We are a volunteer-run organization that exists to own and operate the Southwood Community Hall at 11 Sackville Dr. SW. the Southwood Community Gardens, and ice rinks.

Vison: We, the people of Southwood, are proud to live in a safe, clean and vibrant community. We work & play together to meet community needs for all ages.

Mission Statement:
To enhance the quality of living in Southwood, to promote a sense of community and to respond to expressed needs, the Southwood Community Association provides:

  • Social and recreation programs through committed volunteers

  • A forum of communication to effectively deal with issues

  • A united voice for municipal concerns and

  • A liaison with local businesses
