Southwood Community Gardens
We have 8 (4’ x 8’) raised beds for rental to community members and another 6 raised beds for school/youth groups. We have four mounded beds and a herb spiral with produce that will be split between members who have helped tend the bed with a portion donated to charity. Please contact us if you or your group is interested in helping out with the garden.

Other Community Garden Projects
In addition to starting community garden near the community hall we are looking at projects involving composting; fruit tree registry; plant a row; grow a row for donation; educational info sessions; food preservation workshops; farmers market; many hands work swap; garden share and more. Gardening Projects:
Fruit Tree Registry
Don’t let your good fruit go to waste!
If you have a fruit tree in your yard let us know. We will catalogue it and help arrange volunteers to help harvest if you are unable. We will also post a record of fruit trees and shrubs in the neighborhood to help in your acquisition of cross pollinators.
Plant a Row, Grow a Row
Plant a little extra food in your garden this year and we will help distribute it to those in need. Volunteers can be arranged to help harvest the food in late summer.
Community Beautification
Please let us know if you have any ideas for community beautification or are willing to volunteer to water the planters along Elbow Drive.
