The Southwood Community Hall is located at
11 Sackville Drive SW.
It has two outdoor ice rinks and two distinct rooms available for rent
The Chateau Room
The Chateau Room is the Hall’s largest room available for rent at approximately 1600 square feet.
While auditorium style seating can accommodate an audience of 170 people, dinner venues would be more comfortably seated at an occupancy of 120 people or less. We supply upholstered chairs, and we have both round and rectangular tables to choose from. Whether round or rectangular, tables seat 8 people comfortably.
Our magnificent stone hearth has a gas fireplace insert, and makes a beautiful backdrop for any photographs.
The wet bar on the west wall boasts a large commercial fridge, deep enough to accommodate standard sized catering trays. Caterers would need to bring their own equipment in for heating food, as we do not have a stove.
A coat rack is conveniently located immediately to the right of the main entrance. Please note that the Chateau Room is located on the Hall’s second floor: the entrance and the washrooms are accessible only by stairs.
The Pioneer Room
This room on the middle floor has a more business-like setting.
We currently rent to:
